Fall Colors in North Carolina

I had the pleasure of taking a four-mile hike along the Tanawha trail with a friend of mine during fall colors.

Who names themselves Katchup?

I didn't name myself Katchup. It was given to me. Rightly so. I am forever catching up, and yes, I love ketchup. Smash those two things together and you get me. In 2009 I walked from Georgia to Maine along the AppalachianTrail. I felt like I total bad ass, and my life forever changed. I love to hike. I love being in the woods. In the future, I also hope to complete the Long Trail, the John Muir Trail and the northern portion of the PCT, the PNW....at least for starters.
In between these long distance dreams I try to spend my weekends discovering a new trail, fly fishing, taking photographs, or hitting the pavement in attempt to prepare myself for my next running challenge.
This blog is my attempt to memorialize my life outdoors so I can remember how cool my life was when I'm old and senile. If it happens to inspire you to get outside discover the beauty beyond your cubicle then that's an added bonus. Happy Trails!
